Her job is to "tag" and bring in vampires, werewolfs, and all sort of other paranormal creatures. Evie has the unique ability of being able to see through the glamour that supernatural creatures use to look normal. That makes her an effective part of the IPCA. Her best friend is an organization mermaid, she is obsessed with high school TV melodramas, and now she is secretly crushing on a newly captured guy who is invisible most of the time. Yet, something strange is happening to other paranormal creatures that no one can explain while fellow IPCA facilities are being destroyed overnight and before Evie knows it she's having strange dreams about her involvement in all this tragedy. Then supernaturals start turning up dead and Evie fears to death might be related to her in some way. With the help of a shape shifter that she is falling for, Evie sets out to find the killer.

Admittedly the cover is the reason i gave this book a try and surprisingly i love this book!! Paranormalcy is refreshingly well written young adult. It is fun and addictive read with a great paranormal twist. I literally found myself wanting to read it again when i finished it. I love the characters. I love Evie. She is cute, fun, and easy to like. I love Paranormalcy's world building and memorable character. I enjoyed this. A lot. It's a fast and easy read with lots of action and interesting supernatural creatures.
